The exhibit will journey from pre-colonial times into the artist vision for the future of Ghana. Curated by a first voice artists Agnes Ntow, Crystal Kludjeson, and JoVonna Jackson, Sankofa will be an intergenerational exhibition of art, poetry, and dance celebrating Ghanaian culture in conjunction with Ghana Fest Chicago.

25 Years at Beacon Street
A multimedia retrospective of Beacon Street's award winning arts education programs.

ArtImpact will explore the intersection of art and education from the perspective of several teaching artists and students who have been a part of Beacon Street programming since the early 1980's. Work from Beacon Street's archives will be shown, including multimedia art pieces, video and photograph documentation, and current works of teachers and students.
April 11 to April 26,2008: The Making of the Millennium Park Mosaic
Lead artist Patricia M. Murphy with help and association of others bring "Chicago Voices Flower - Lily a Day." It is a 500 sq. ft. Venetian glass mosaic in honor of Mayor Richard M. Daley and Maggie Daley for their many contributions to Chicago and its residents. The piece was by Judy and Jamie Dimon for the enjoyment of youth and families in Chicago.
On April 11, 2008 we will hold our dedication ceremony will start at 5pm in the Southeast corner pedway of Millennium Park. Our ceremony will feature various speeches and poems by Patricia M. Murphy and Chicago youth.
Following the Dedication we will hold a reception at 6pm at Beacon Street Gallery, 410 S. Michigan Ave.
